@everybody

Tagging is different from quoting!! With this vanilla forum software, "quoting" ends up being more like spam!! Also a volitional of infringement rights. [edit your quot's!]

When you merge user support request into an announcement, you turn the user support request into a category, which already has a category, "Support or Bug/Issue reports". You also lose the ability to keep order of "Announcement Updates".

@Moderators

Sink is not the same as sticky.

A sticky post (or sticky thread) is a feature of many online forum and bulletin board tools. This allows a post to be stuck or pinned to the top of the screen.

    Wait, what?

    If you quot a users post in its entirety with out editing out the statement in question. As you did above. It would be a retweet. It looks like the quoted statement was then that posting user statement. Or appear misleading and cluttering the discussion.

  • Well, you can use Quote settings and select 1 level deep (which is the default) and then the other contents will not show up unless you decide to make them show up.

    I understand that it is still annoying though, as many people get tagged in the process for no reason.

    Huh? Where did you find a thread where it should be sticky but it was sink, or the opposite too?

    I started this discussion for vanilla forum feature. In hopes users would check out the features. It worked!

    sink lets the discussion sink down the list even if new replies. Announcements acts like sticky use to.

    Users can also edit the quot.
