The difference between PFH client account and a PFH hosting account?

edited January 1 in General Discussions

This is a test of the national alert system.

What is the difference between PFH client account and a PFH hosting account?

What is the procedure to close/delete PFH client account?

What is the procedure to close/delete PFH hosting account?

What are the reasons for a 90 day hold on a closed PFH hosting account? Please don't say it's the law. That is not a reason.

What is the difference between PFH client account and a PFH hosting account?

Well a PFH Client Account can have up to 3 PFH hosting accounts, a client account is used and is necesarry to create hosting accounts.

What is the procedure to close/delete PFH client account?

Well you must contact Admin to do that, and I strongly believe you should have closed all your hosting accounts first.

What is the procedure to close/delete PFH hosting account?

Basically what @TheCrafters said here, after removing your domain from addon domains and removing the contents of htdocs folder(s) you must contact Admin to finish the procedure.

What are the reasons for a 90 day hold on a closed PFH hosting account? Please don't say it's the law. That is not a reason.

Why is the law not a reason? iFastNet and PFH want to be compatible with the law.

Besides, if you don't like the law as a reason, take it as an iFastNet limit that cannot be bypassed. Many people have contacted their support before but they won't change it.
And whenever someone asked them, they mentioned the law.

    @ChrisPAR

    Wrong!

The difference is what the support request user thinks close/cancel/delete account means.

[rhetorical] So is there a 90 day hold on the client account, or the hosting accounts?? [rhetorical]

The Crafters support thread really does not make the difference between the two.

We know the 90 day hold is for the hosting accounts (websites). PFH is required by law (US). that makes it a requirement, not a reason. A reason would be giving time for client to backup or retrieve client proprietary data.

So the procedure to close/delete PFH hosting account is:

Well look at that, never had to contact Admin. We will always have to answer a user discussion request. Or direct them to a support document.
