CSS file shows 404 in Chrome

My website is diamondcubing.com and I have a CSS file in the root directory (htdocs) named "style.css"

When I go to diamondcubing.com/style.css in MS Edge, it downloads the css file, but if I go to the same page in chrome, it shows the 404 page. How can I fix this?

Also, the CSS doesn't show in chrome, but it does in MS Edge.

Site working as expected here. Using "G Chrome".

right click web page. popup menu > select view page source.
opens source in new tab. select style.css
I believe MS edge does download and opens in notepad or defaulted selected browser txt editor.
